Seeking Part-Time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to work in a private outpatient setting with adults, adolescents and children, providing medication management, psychotherapy, and TMS!
Position Title – Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Northshore Minds is a small mental health practice in Wakefield, MA 01880 that is customer-centric and agile! Our goal is to build a close-knit practice providing excellent and compassionate mental health care. At Northshore Minds, we specialize in treating the whole patient, through psychotherapy, medication management, and family work. Our treatment philosophy focuses on creating individualized and collaborative treatment plans for patients.
Essential Functions
- Medication management/Psychopharmacology for all age ranges
- Provide psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and/or adults (CBT, DBT, supportive)
- Serve as a TMS technician as needed for our sister practice, Transcend TMS Boston (www.TMSBOS.com)
- Parent guidance/Family work
- Remain knowledgeable regarding issues of assessment, diagnosis and treatment planning
- Attend and actively participate in psychiatry team meetings
- Safety/risk assessments
- Perform related duties as assigned
- Assist with marketing efforts and serve as a role model to reflect commitment to vision of Northshore Minds
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s and master’s in nursing Required
- Min 2 years’ experience working with children, adolescents, and adults
- Ability to complete documentation accurately and in timely fashion to maintain clinical care
- Proficiency in psychiatric assessment, evaluation, and longitudinal treatment
- Excellent interpersonal communication
- Organizational skills
- Conflict resolution
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner – Psychiatric Mental Health in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
- Current federal and state-controlled substance certification/registration
- ANCC – Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing (PMHNP) certification is required
- Therapy and Counseling – Knowledge of principles, methods, and procedures for diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of physical and mental dysfunctions, and for career counseling and guidance.
- Psychology – Knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation; psychological research methods; and the assessment and treatment of behavioral and affective disorders.
